The state Supreme Court has appointed Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas Judge Margaret T. Murphy on an interim basis as chair of the administrative governing board of the First Judicial District.
Murphy, who is the administrative judge of the court’s family division, takes over the role from trial division administrative judge and incoming Supreme Court Justice Kevin Dougherty, who will be sworn in to the high court next week.
