In determining that a governor’s line-item veto power extends to appropriations made under fiscal code amendments, the Commonwealth Court has ruled that former Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Corbett properly used his veto power to nix money state legislators allocated themselves for salaries and expenses.
A unanimous five-judge en banc panel made the ruling Wednesday in Scarnati v. Wolf.
