Indicted Attorney General Kathleen Kane’s tenure as Pennsylvania’s top prosecutor is over whether she wants to acknowledge that or not. It’s not a matter of if, but how and when, and how much more damage she’s willing to inflict on herself and the state.

Regardless of what happens with the indictment—which alleges she leaked grand jury information and then lied about it—Kane has proven through her numerous missteps, personnel turnover and debacles, and misstatements to the public that she’s not a good leader and not up to the job.
