A lawsuit against Blair County, filed by an attorney who was attacked in the courtroom by a client convicted of murder, has been thrown out by the Commonwealth Court.

Ebensburg attorney Timothy Burns sued Blair County, its commissioners, Sheriff’s Office, District Attorney’s Office, members of the prison board and a common pleas judge for failing to maintain the safety of the courtroom and control over Andre Staton, the death-row inmate who lashed out and attacked Burns.
