Taking an aggressive stance against her possible prosecution for alleged grand-jury leaks, state Attorney General Kathleen Kane has asked the supervising grand-jury judge to be recused from the case.

Kane filed a supplemental reply memorandum with the state Supreme Court late Monday in which she countered last week’s arguments from supervising grand jury Judge William R. Carpenter and attorney Thomas E. Carluccio, the special prosecutor who Carpenter had appointed. Kane is challenging Carpenter’s authority to open an investigation into her office.
