When the State Bar of Texas search committee for a new executive director meets Aug. 29 to interview people who have expressed an interest in becoming the bar’s next executive director, the meeting will take place behind closed doors.

A motion by State Bar President-elect Joe Longley to conduct the interviews in an open session failed for lack of a second during the search committee’s telephonic meeting held Aug. 4.
