Alistair Dawson, the incoming president of the Houston Bar Association, is well-acquainted with the challenges special needs individuals face. His uncle had Down syndrome, his brother suffered brain damage at birth, and his 21-year-old son is on the autism spectrum.
So, perhaps it is not surprising that he plans to launch an initiative to provide legal services to special needs children and young adults.
