In the past few years, we have seen an uptick of cases addressing personal jurisdiction spurred by the United States Supreme opinions in a trio of cases: J. McIntyre Machine,Walden, and Daimler.

These cases have instigated numerous subsequent decisions in the intermediate federal courts and in state courts, which are testing the boundaries of legal and factual circumstances giving rise to general and specific jurisdiction.
