Three weeks before the start of trial, Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani and three lawyers in its Houston office settled a malpractice lawsuit in which former clients alleged the defendants drafted a “woefully inadequate” settlement in a business dispute that led to further, costly litigation.

On Aug. 15, 269th District Judge Dan Hinde signed an order granting the plaintiffs’ motion to dismiss with prejudice the suit against the firm and lawyers.
