As the primary election approaches, it’s interesting to note that American lawyers tend to be more liberal than the public, but Texas lawyers skew conservative.

Some of the most conservative big firms nationwide are in Texas, according to a group of researchers who examined lawyers’ political ideologies based on their contributions to federal campaigns. The researchers sliced and diced the data to measure ideological differences based on lawyers’ states, law schools, law firms and areas of law.
