A Dallas judge issued a temporary restraining order barring Michael Pickens, the son of T. Boone Pickens, from communicating with his father other than through counsel, and from getting within 1,000 feet of the energy billionaire’s home, offices or ranch.

A hearing is scheduled for Oct. 29, when 116th District Judge Tonya Parker in Dallas will consider if she should issue an injunction based on the TRO.
