These are tough times in the oil patch. The price of oil is down, deeply. After reaching highs greater than $100 a barrel in June of 2014, the price has now fallen below $50. But her ability to manage the legal affairs (and more) of this large company during tough times is one reason Texas Lawyer has named her General Counsel of the Year.
“Obviously, the oil industry has highs and lows and these are certainly tough times, but I would say that it’s made our team even closer,” Marathon’s Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary said. “In times like these, I think you forge really strong bonds and you really pull together as a group to protect and advance the company.”
