This summer, Houston lawyer Anthony “Tony” Buzbee invested $1.5 million in a dance movie he thought would feature Justin Timberlake or Ryan Gosling. But because the movie “failed to go forward,” Buzbee filed a fraud lawsuit on Oct. 20 against three individuals and two production companies, alleging that they lied to him and have refused to refund his money.

Buzbee, owner of Buzbee Law Firm, alleges that the defendants “purport to be in the movie business” but are “charlatans” in actuality.
