Lawyers might think one could become lonely as a Food and Drug Administration regulatory attorney in the Lone Star state. Most lawyers in my line of work spend the bulk of their time closer to the other Capitol, the one that is 7 feet shorter than the Texas Capitol. But with the wonders of technology and periodic trips to D.C., I never have a lonely or boring day. My colleagues and friends, however, sometimes wonder what exactly it is that I do. Here is a sample day.

7:30 a.m.: Watch CNN’s “American Morning.” Note that three clients are named while I am drinking first cup of coffee of the day. Note that Congress will be holding hearings on two FDA-related issues. Note that reporters have mischaracterized at least five facts.
