Two lawyers — one from Travis County and the other from Harris County — have been disbarred, the State Bar of Texas reported recently. In the Harris County case, the lawyer was ordered to pay $107,000 in restitution. The State Bar cited the regulation requiring a lawyer to deliver funds to a client promptly when that client is entitled to the funds. In the Travis County case, the lawyer was ordered to pay $11,888 in restitution and fees and expenses.
