Ed Chernoff, the Houston lawyer whose client is Dr. Conrad Murray — King of Pop Michael Jackson’s personal physician at the time of Jackson’s death on June 25, 2009 — plans to get on a plane and return to Houston this evening from his weeklong stay in Los Angeles, according to Miranda Sevcik, a spokeswoman for Chernoff. Having spent the past seven days in California waiting for prosecutors to make their move against their client in the world-famous case.

Chernoff and Matt Alford, Chernoff’s partner in Stradley Chernoff & Alford, arrived half an hour early for an arraignment hearing scheduled for 1:30 p.m. today at the Los Angeles Superior Court Airport Courthouse, , Sevcik says.
