Lawrence Tu, senior vice president and general counsel of Dell Inc., is using Vinson & Elkins for the Round Rock computer-maker’s pending purchase of Perot Systems Corp. of Plano for $3.9 billion.
Del Williams, vice president, chief administrative officer, general counsel and secretary of Perot Systems, turned to Baker Botts for the deal, which was announced on Sept. 21. Perot Systems is an information technology services company founded by former presidential candidate Ross Perot.
