A Houston bankruptcy judge found secured creditors are entitled to $100 million damages and wiped out more than $100 million in counterclaims brought by liquid natural gas developer Charif Souki.

The bankruptcy case, filed in the Southern District of Texas in July 2023, was the second shoe to drop in a longstanding dispute that first appeared in the New York Supreme Court in March 2023 when Souki sued a group of creditors to prevent them from selling collateral.
