The co-owner of a software development firm, who sued a Houston law firm for alleged malpractice in its handling of a patent application, has had his lawsuit rejected because he was never a client, a Houston court of appeals ruled.

Hunton Andrews Kurth, a commercial litigation firm, was served with a lawsuit filed May 20, 2020, in Harris County district court by William S. Taylor, WPEM LLC and W2W LLC.
