Five of the top 10 firms in our gross revenue ranking remained the same. In order, they are Kirkland & Ellis; Latham & Watkins; DLA Piper; Baker McKenzie; and Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom.

White & Case moved up two spots to position No. 6, while Sidley Austin slipped one rank to No. 7. Ropes & Gray moved up three spots to position No. 8. Hogan Lovells held onto the No. 9 position, while Morgan, Lewis & Bockius slipped three positions to No. 10. Fifty-two firms posted gross revenue of $1 billion or more in 2021, 10 more than in 2020. All firms reported gains in gross revenue. Cadwalader reported the biggest gain, 34.6%.
