Texas Central’s plans to construct a high-speed railway from Dallas to Houston are on hold over a court dispute over whether the company is a railroad, but all the arguments have been made and all sides await a Texas Supreme Court decision.

On one side is a large contingent of municipal and county government entities and construction industry associations that stand to reap an economic boom if the project goes forward.
