Higher salaries kicked in for associates at many Am Law 200 firms and boutiques on July 1, but that’s not the case for associates at all Texas-founded firms on the Am Law 200.

While some of the Texas firms on the Am Law 200 have moved to the new salary scale set by the elite firms in June, others haven’t announced higher salaries for their associates, as the firm leaders presumably weigh the cost of the pay hikes against competitive factors.
