Survivors and family members of victims of the 2017 Sutherland Springs church mass shooting may not sue Academy Sports + Outdoors for selling the gunman his weapon.

The Texas Supreme Court ruled Friday that a federal law, the Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act, shielded the gun retailer from four lawsuits. The act protects gun retailers from some litigation over criminal conduct of third parties.
