The big takeaway for North Texans in this election is Dallas County remains reliably Democrat, while being surrounded by the very Republican Tarrant and Collin counties.

Democrats performed well, winning four of the five Dallas County District Court seats. In contrast, North Texas Republicans did better, picking up all nine Tarrant County District Court seats and all seven Collin County District Court seats. Meanwhile, over in Denton County, Republicans picked up the only seat being contested, winning the 431st District Court seat.
