Morgan, Lewis & Bockius on Monday continued its rapid expansion in Houston, adding corporate partner Jeff Dinerstein, who was previously with Jones Day.
Dinerstein, who does M&A work for private equity firms and companies in such industries as energy services, engineering, chemicals, online education, retail, health care and telemedicine, said he made the move because Morgan Lewis is the right fit for his practice
“I was really attracted to Morgan Lewis’ expansion in the Texas market, including the Houston market, as well as the strength of their corporate practice, their commitment to client service, their strategic approach to growth,” Dinerstein said.
He joined the firm in 2014, coming from Haynes and Boone. He declined to identify his clients.
Stefanie Moll, the managing partner of Morgan Lewis’ Houston office, said Dinerstein is a great fit for the team of lawyers in Houston.
Over the last year, the firm has made 11 lateral hires in Houston, including eight health care lawyers.
Jones Day declined to comment on Dinerstein’s departure.
