A Harris County family sued Houston lawyer Ronald Bankston and his current and former firms, alleging that its case file “sat in a file drawer” for six months and defendants failed to file a personal injury suit before the statute of limitations ran.

In a petition filed on April 20 in the 55th District Court in Harris County, Erin, Patricia and Raymond Lindsay seek between $100,000 and $200,000 in damages from Bankston; his firm, Bankston & Associates of Houston; and his former firm, Dallas-based Kane Russell Coleman & Logan. The plaintiffs bring negligence/legal malpractice and breach of fiduciary duty causes of action against the defendants.
