The Williard Law Firm of Houston won an appeals court ruling that reverses a judgment notwithstanding a verdict entered against it in a lawsuit and renders a take-nothing judgment in its favor.

In an opinion on March 26, a Fourteenth Court of Appeals panel in Houston found the trial court erred when disregarding a jury finding and entering a JNOV favoring John Sewell, a former client of The Williard Law Firm, who had filed a suit against the firm.
