Alice Fisher of Latham & Watkins has withdrawn from the pool of contenders to lead the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Fisher is a former head of the criminal division at the Department of Justice during George W. Bush’s administration and a prominent white-collar lawyer and firm manager at Latham’s Washington, D.C., office.

She interviewed with Attorney General Jeff Sessions and Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein for the top FBI job on Saturday, less than a week after President Donald Trump fired director James Comey.
