As Illinois becomes the latest state to require all its circuit courts to move to e-filing, the state’s approved legal tech e-filing service providers are ramping up their customer incentives and offerings in a frenzy of competition.

Perhaps the biggest force driving these providers to carve out their niche and go the extra mile for clients is the state itself. The state system, known as Odyssey eFileIL, is a simple tool, without larger capabilities like batch processing, giving authorized e-filing some space to compete.
