Superior Court Judge Bill Mathesius, whose criticism of judges and jurors, along with other comments while in robes, got him suspended from the bench in 2006, will not be nominated for tenure when his term ends Jan. 11, the governor’s office said last week.

“We’re just not going to reappoint him as judge,” said Gov. Jon Corzine’s spokesman, Robert Corrales, adding that the decision was made after a “close examination” of the judge’s record.
