A New Jersey-based putative class action against Jacoby & Meyers, claiming the personal injury firm improperly inflates trial-preparation costs charged by a subsidiary company, is facing a motion to dismiss.

Jacoby & Meyers on Nov. 27 filed a notice of motion to dismiss in the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey, accompanied by written testimony from firm managing partner Andrew Finkelstein, who also is part-owner of Total Trial Solutions LLC.
