Connell Foley in Roseland promotes Daniel Kessler and Thomas Vecchio to partner of the firm. In addition, Christopher Abatemarco and Douglas Short have been promoted to counsel of the firm. Kessler, previously counsel at the firm, focuses his practice on estate and gift tax planning, business succession planning, asset protection planning and probate court matters. He received an LL.M. from New York University, his J.D. and an M.A. from Arizona State University, and his B.A. from the University of Michigan. Vecchio, previously counsel at the firm, provides litigation counsel in a wide range of industries and subject matter. He primarily represents health insurance carriers and related businesses in health care and ERISA litigation in state and federal court. Vecchio received his J.D. from The Catholic University of America, Columbus School of Law, and his B.A. from The George Washington University. Abatemarco, previously an associate with the firm, practices primarily in the areas of insurance defense, premises liability litigation, mass tort litigation and health care/ERISA. He received his J.D. from Rutgers Law School-Newark and his B.S. from St. John’s University. Short, previously an associate with the firm, represents insurance companies and their clients in tort-based liability claims and contractual claims in the Superior Court of New Jersey and in various arbitration forums. Prior to joining the firm, he served on active duty in the U.S. Navy Judge Advocate General’s Corps. He received his J.D. from Widener University School of Law and his M.B.A. and B.S. from Salisbury State University.

Michael Gibson, a partner with Cooper Levenson in Atlantic City, has been certified by the New Jersey Supreme Court as a civil trial attorney. Gibson is a co-founder of SoPro-Atlantic City young professional networking organization. He also serves as a board member of the Greater Atlantic City Chamber of Commerce, as well as a member of the AtlantiCare Foundation Board and a board member of the Coalition for a Safe Community. In addition, he serves on the Executive Committee, Young Lawyers Division, of the New Jersey State Bar Association…Bryan Roberts, an associate in Stark & Stark’s accident and personal injury group in the firm’s Lawrenceville offices, is elected to the board of directors of One Simple Wish. The not-for-profit organization provides small wishes to children who are in foster care or have been abused, neglected or abandoned. Roberts focuses his practice in the areas of wrongful death and catastrophic personal injuries from truck, motorcycle and automobile accidents to product and premises liability claims. As a licensed commercial truck and motorcycle operator, he has unique insight into crashes involving these vehicles.
