The Middlesex County Bar Association held its 10th annual practice area awards dinner on March 18 at The Pines Manor in Edison. Joanne Vos was honored with the Bar’s Transactional Award. Vos is a partner with Maraziti Falcon in Short Hills. She represents clients in both the public and private arenas, having previously served as special environmental counsel to the township of North Brunswick. She regularly counsels clients with respect to environmental liability and in that role, she drafts and negotiates various types of agreements. She also advises real estate purchasers with regard to federal and state due diligence requirements and compliance with the Industrial Site Recovery Act (ISRA). She has a distinguished history of involvement with the New Jersey Defense Association, having served as president and then as chair of the board for the 2010-11 term. She currently serves as MCBA secretary and looks forward to her continuing leadership duties as an MCBA officer.
