Goldman Sachs has successfully moved to transfer from Delaware to New Jersey a suit over legal bills for a former vice president who was charged with stealing computer code from the company.

A federal judge in Wilmington, Delaware, has transferred Sergey Aleynikov’s suit against Goldman Sachs to the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey, which is already the venue for a related case he filed in 2012. Both cases concern whether Goldman Sachs’ bylaws providing for indemnification of officers call for the company to pay legal expenses for Aleynikov, a former vice president.
