On Dec. 5, 2014, at the Brooklake Country Club in Florham Park, New Jersey, the Union County Bar Association swore in its 52nd president, David Wikstrom of Javerbaum Wurgaft Hicks Kahn Wikstrom & Sinins of Springfield, New Jersey, along with its new officers and trustees. Wikstrom, shown here in the center, was sworn in by his son Daniel Wikstrom (right) and Union County Superior Court Presiding Judge Kenneth Grispin (left). Also sworn in that evening were President-Elect Jon-Henry Barr, Bar & Canada; Vice President Ann Merritt, Tobin Kessler Greenstein Caruso Wiener & Konray; Secretary Don DiGioia, Weiseman DiGioia; Treasurer Fred Regenye; Parliamentarian Anne Frawley; Immediate Past President Robert Jeney, Jeney, Jeney & O’Connor; and Trustees Robert Munoz, Marianne Zembryski, Robert Varady, Joe Depa, Kim Rennie, Heather Keith, Derrick DiFrancesco and Scott Sinins.

Palatucci Honored by the Women’s Political Caucus of NJ

The Women’s Political Caucus of New Jersey has presented William Palatucci (at right), special counsel at Gibbons in Newark, with its “Good Guy Award.” Palatucci received the award at the organization’s annual awards dinner, held Jan. 15 at the Hyatt Regency in New Brunswick, New Jersey. The Women’s Political Caucus of New Jersey (WPCNJ) is dedicated to increasing women’s participation in the political process and creating a women’s political power base to achieve equality for all women. The Good Guy Award has been presented annually since 1994 to men who have demonstrated leadership in advancing policies in support of women and families either in their businesses or in public policy. Palatucci, who was chairman of Gov. Chris Christie’s 2013 reelection campaign and co-chaired the 2014 Inaugural Committee, began his legal career in 1993 at Dughi & Hewit, where he founded the firm’s government affairs practice. In 2001, he became a partner in the firm and the firm’s name was changed to Dughi, Hewit & Palatucci. He currently serves as a member of the National Advisory Board for the Heldrich Center for Workforce Development at Rutgers University and as a member of the Board of Visitors at the Seton Hall University School of Law in Newark.
