Jacoby & Meyers has been dismissed from a suit claiming personal injury clients were overcharged, but two of its partners and two entities sharing offices with the personal injury firm are still in the case.

Jacoby & Meyers was dismissed because it wasn’t a party to retainer agreements with the plaintiffs, and alternate theories from the plaintiffs on how the firm might be held liable were unconvincing, U.S. District Judge Madeline Cox Arleo of the District of New Jersey ruled. But she allowed most claims to stand against the law firm of Finkelstein & Partners, litigation services provider Total Trial Solutions, and attorneys Andrew Finkelstein and Kenneth Oliver.
