The New Jersey Sports and Exposition Authority will have to rewrite its contract with the company that administers remote wagering on horse racing in the state, thanks to a state appeals court’s ruling.

The Appellate Division on Feb. 17 directed the New Jersey Racing Commission to order that the contract must cast Darby Development as an agent of the NJSEA—not merely an independent contractor, as previous agreements have done.
