ESTATE OF DAVID JOHNSON, Deceased (17-2607/A/B/C) — The proposed compromise of the causes of action against an individual defendant for decedent’s personal injuries and wrongful death is approved. The restrictions contained in the Letters of Administration issued to the Administrator are modified to permit this compromise and she is authorized to collect the settlement proceeds and execute any necessary receipts and releases. Petitioner’s request to satisfy a lien asserted against decedent’s estate is allowed in the negotiated, and documented, reduced amount, and her request that the net settlement proceeds be allocated 100 percent to the cause of action for decedent’s wrongful death is unopposed and is granted. Reimbursement for decedent’s funeral expenses and payment of statutory commissions have been waived (SPCA 2307). Attorneys fees are fixed and disbursements allowed, as requested. The balance of the settlement proceeds shall be paid as set forth in the Decree. Decree settling the Administrator’s account is signed. Dated: August 16, 2022
