In a heated dispute stemming from the dissolution of Arkin Kaplan Rice, two Arkin partners are suing two other partners for allegedly refusing to leave the firm’s office, blocking rent payments and refusing to report their billable hours.

Veteran litigator Stanley Arkin and his partner Lisa Solbakken brought the lawsuit on behalf of their former 12-attorney firm, Arkin Kaplan Rice, against Howard Kaplan and Michelle Rice and their new firm, Kaplan Rice. The lawsuit, filed in Manhattan Supreme Court, seeks an injunction ordering the withdrawal of Kaplan Rice from Arkin Kaplan’s offices and an accounting of their billable hours at Arkin Kaplan.
