Roger Clemens has long denied he used performance-enhancing drugs during his Major League Baseball career, one that spanned more than two decades and included repeat trips to All-Star games.

Clemens’ criminal defense lawyers this week will make a pitch to 12 Washington residents that the government is over-reaching in its prosecution of Clemens for statements he made denying drug use.
