Expansion rather than relocation was the solution for the space needs of law firm Kleinberg, Kaplan, Wolff & Cohen, which recently leased an additional 9,000 square feet at 551 Fifth Ave., at 45th Street. This brings the firm’s total footprint to 36,000 square feet in the 38-story, landmark Art Deco building that has more than 430,000 rentable square feet.

Kleinberg Kaplan, a 40-year-old firm, has been a tenant of the The Feil Organization’s building, also known as the Fred F. French Building, off and on for nearly three decades, between 1975 and 1984 and again since 1993, after a period at 522 Fifth Ave. The firm’s current lease expires in 2019.
