A federal judge has denied a motion to move the wrongful death action filed against NASCAR driver Tony Stewart from the Northern to the Western District of New York.

Northern District Judge David Hurd said Stewart failed to make the requisite “clear-cut showing” that transferring the case 135 miles west from his courtroom in Utica to Rochester is in the “best interests of the litigation.”
