A judge’s decision Wednesday has cleared the way for a Democratic primary in the race for Nassau County District Attorney.

Acting Nassau County District Attorney Madeline Singas and attorney Michael Scotto will square off in the Sept. 10 primary, following Nassau County Supreme Court Justice Jeffrey Brown’s acceptance of a judicial hearing officer’s report and recommendation that Scotto presented a sufficient number of valid signatures to appear on the ballot.
