Michèle Penzer has been named managing partner of Latham & Watkins’ 337-attorney New York office, succeeding James Brandt.

Penzer, the outgoing co-chair of Latham’s banking practice, represents commercial and investment banks as well as borrowers in leveraged finance transactions. Her clients include Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Barclays, Citibank, Credit Suisse, Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan Chase and Wells Fargo, as well as companies such as Scientific Games and Eastman Kodak.
