The merger of two Los Angeles-based law firms will create a 16-attorney New York office focusing on corporate, securities and litigation matters.

Mitchell Silberberg & Knupp announced on Monday that it will absorb 14 attorneys in New York and Los Angeles from corporate law firm Richardson & Patel. The combined firm, which will keep the Mitchell Silberberg name, will have about 130 lawyers and $80 million in revenue, said Kevin Gaut, Mitchell Silberberg’s managing partner.
