Following the appointments of Chief Justice John G. Roberts Jr. and Justice Samuel A. Alito Jr. to the Supreme Court, many court watchers predicted that the court would be more pro-business. The 2006 proved these predictions true. While it remains to be seen whether this degree of success be will repeated in future terms, it seems clear that the Roberts Court � at least as currently constituted � is significantly friendlier to business than was the Rehnquist Court.
