In April 2000, tornados hit Shreveport, La., damaging an 18-story, 403-room hotel and casino riverboat project being constructed by Hollywood Casino Shreveport. The damage caused the casino to delay opening for more than two months. Hollywood Casino made an insurance claim under an all-risk policy with one of its insurers, Lexington Insurance Co. of Boston.
