Randel Johnson, a leader at one of the top business advocacy groups in the United States, said Friday that he believes President Donald Trump’s hard line on immigration enforcement has had some negative effects on businesses.

At Ogletree, Deakins, Nash, Smoak & Stewart’s “Managing a Workforce” event Friday, Johnson, senior vice president for labor, immigration and employee benefits for the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, said that companies have been telling him an increased crackdown by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) is deterring consumers.
