I. Lewis “Scooter” Libby, the former chief of staff to Vice President Dick Cheney who was convicted of lying in connection with the Valerie Plame scandal, is free to practice law again.

Libby was disbarred in the District of Columbia in 2008. Armed with letters of support from a federal appeals judge and other legal luminaries, Libby over the summer asked the D.C. Court of Appeals to reinstate him to the D.C. Bar.
