Manatt, Phelps & Phillips has named a new administrative partner for its office in Washington after the departure of its former local leader to a regulatory boutique.

Douglas Boggs, a lawyer who is nearly royalty in the nation’s capital, has taken on the top management role at Manatt’s office in the city after predecessor Ivan Wasserman left last week to join Amin Talati Upadhye. Wasserman is the first lawyer to be employed by the Chicago-based food and drug regulatory outfit in Washington.
